Wakatsuru
Wakatsuru Distillery obtained a license to distill whiskey in 1953 and has been producing a small amount of whiskey on and off since then. Although some Japanese whiskey distilleries import unblended whiskey from Scotland and just bottle and sell, this distillery is all Japanese; from beginning till end. Although not well known outside the Japanese market, it is indeed a hidden gem.
