Eigashima Shuzo, located in Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, has a long history of Japanese drinks production and is associated with the White Oak Distillery and the Akashi whisky brand.
Whisky production forms part of a much broader heritage at Eigashima, which has produced sake and other traditional Japanese alcoholic beverages for generations. Its whisky releases range from approachable Akashi expressions to aged, single-malt and single-cask bottlings that offer enthusiasts another perspective on Japanese whisky.
Limited production and distinctive cask maturation have also resulted in a number of scarce Akashi releases that are of particular interest to collectors.
