Jim McEwan's Tasting Notes:

Color: Polished Copper Body: Medium bodied and intensely smooth with a strong backbone of flavour and character that has stood the test of time.
Nose: Breathe in an initial rush of sensual dark chocolate, sticky treacle and coffee beans followed by walnut and a fluttering of lovely spicy, peppery notes and just as you think this is all that's on offer, the nuances pull back to reveal notes of golden toffee, rich vanilla beans and plenty of stone fruit.
Palate: Oaky and firm with overtones of dried apricot, candied ginger, cinnamon and more lovely spiciness. There is just a hint of smoke which just drifts across the middle of the palate. Finish: The distillery may be no longer but the memories live on in this evocative dram.
This is the rarest of the rare.
Cask: Bourbon Cask
