Description

This limited edition specially created for the Japanese market: ‘Chivas Regal MIZUNARA Special Edition’.

While master blender Colin Scott was in Japan, he got the idea of creating a version of Chivas Regal that is inspired by local whisky making techniques and customer preferences. He began to carefully select the component grain and malt whiskies – all over 12yo – with the local palate in mind. The blend was finished in Japanese oak (i.e. mizunara) casks. This is a very interesting blend as it is Scottish whisky with a 'Japanese twist'.

Tasting note:

Aromas: Orange, pear, creamy, caramel and a faint nutty aroma. 

Taste:  Delicate, smooth. Taste of ripe pears and honey.

Finish: Well balanced, smooth, long finish.
