Description

Yamazaki 25 Year Old is one of the most prestigious expressions from the House of Suntory, representing a quarter-century of exceptional Japanese whisky craftsmanship.

Originally introduced in 1999 as a sherry-cask-matured expression, Yamazaki 25 underwent a significant reformulation in 2021. The newer expression combines whiskies matured for at least 25 years in Japanese Mizunara oak, Spanish oak and American oak casks, creating a beautifully balanced and complex single malt.

The influence of Mizunara oak brings distinctive incense and sandalwood aromas, while Spanish oak contributes rich dried-fruit character and American oak adds delicate sweetness and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Mizunara incense, sandalwood, mature fruits and delicate spice.

Palate: Rich dried fruits, honeyed sweetness, subtle citrus and gentle ginger spice.

Finish: Long, elegant and complex, with lingering aromatic wood and refined sweetness.
