Yamazaki Mizunara 2014 is Jim Murray's Top 5 WORLD WHISKY for 2016.

While in the Japanese whisky category, it won 'Japanese Whisky of the Year' and best 'Single Malt Whisky' in Japan.

This is a limited edition release with only 1600 bottles available exclusively in the Japanese market only. Non chilled filtered and bottled at 48% abv, this release marks the 30th anniversary of the introduction of Yamazaki as a a single malt back in 1984.

Nose: Peach and pineapple, cherry and vanilla.

Palate: Nice sweet but dry leather and tart cherry, with vanilla. Hint of spice.

Finish: Medium-long pickled ginger and mild oak, with citrus and caramel.
